Ad placement #fail

Apr 17, 10 Ad placement #fail

It’s been a while since I posted anything up last, although in my defence, I have been stupidly busy through work. There’s some exciting (although somewhat draining) stuff that’s nearing completion, but they’re separate things from what I usually ramble on about here.

Anyway, to cut to the chase: I’m of the personal opinion that display advertising is going to have a bit of a renaissance over the coming eighteen months or so. I won’t bore you with the details – if anyone’s really bothered, drop me a line and I’ll attempt to explain my logic. However, part of what I think chases down the path of intelligent strategy, placement and targeting. But that’s just a healthy mixture of best practice and common sense. It’s more fun to see things when they balls up completely. Like these examples… I realise that some are in pretty bad taste – but seriously, what are the chances? I don’t think you could make this kind of stuff up…

Yeah, okay… Not an online ad. But if I still found it kind of amusing.
