So what did Google learn?

Feb 21, 11 So what did Google learn?

Not content with end-of-2010 roundup posts, I figured It would be nice to share a cool little video I found from Google that shows off a few little gems of information.

I’m sometimes skeptical about data being presented this way, but I imagine that in this instance, it’s fairly reliable, given that it’s been collected from more than 60 different research studies from different organisations.

A few juicy stats from the video:

  • Consumers exposed to a homepage ad on YouTube are four times more likely to visit the advertiser’s site or search for the brand online.
  • For every 10 financial services applications search drives online, it also creates a further 4.5 applications offline.
  • 70% of  “media” fans visit sites on the Google Display Network every day.
  • 40% of travelers search for reviews before booking a trip
  • 75% of all patients research their symptoms before deciding to visit a Doctor.
